A Lifechanging Experience
Campers ages 9-14 learn to be proud to be themselves and to connect with the natural world in our six-day, five-night resident camp program. They get the full camp experience and have the opportunity to master a new Specialty Area each summer as they work their way toward our leadership and tripping programs. A six-day camper has the opportunity to develop teamwork, critical thinking, and empathy skills while participating in their specialty area, choice activities, cabin times, and an overnight camping excursion. Campers in this program are able to build unique and close bonds with their cabin mates and counselors, in just one week they will build relationships that will provide them with supportive connections for years to come. We look forward to serving your child this summer, and hopefully for years to come, at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya.

Tiered Price Per Week
We understand that our camp families have differing abilities to pay, so we offer a tiered pricing system to better accommodate all financial situations. Your choice does not influence the quality of the camp experience that your child will receive.
- Tier A: $895
- Tier B: $813
- Tier C: $741
What is Tiered Pricing?
This pricing option is available to anyone. We offer three pricing levels to better accommodate all financial needs. Please consider selecting the highest tier that your family can afford in order to allow YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya to continue to ensure the quality of every camper’s experience. The price you select does not impact your camper’s experience in any way.
- Tier A: Most accurately reflects the true and actual cost of camp.
- Tier B: A partially subsidized rate, but more closely reflects the actual cost of camp.
- Tier C: Our historically standard rate which does not represent the true cost of camp. This rate is subsidized by the YMCA through fundraising, special events, and contributions.
Specialty Areas
We offer six Specialty Areas specifically designed to provide campers with healthy physical and mental challenges, teach them new skills, and connect them with counselors and campers outside their cabin group. *Each camper gets to choose from one of the following Specialty Areas: .
- Adventure Sports – Campers will feast on adrenaline as they spend the week ascending the climbing wall, riding fat tire bikes, and kayaking. Campers will identify their personal limits and learn to conquer challenges in order to grow.
- Arts & Crafts – Campers express their creativity through a variety of artistic media. Painting, sculpting, and tie dye are just some of the disciplines explored. At the end of the week, they will have a great understanding of how time and effort can produce works of art they can display with pride.
- Fishing – This is the perfect specialty area for those kids who love the thrill and challenge of hooking Wisconsin’s freshwater sport fish. From shore and watercraft, campers in the Fishing specialty area will learn in-depth tactics for catching pan fish, bass and northern pike. This specialty area gives each camper extended opportunities to fish and ends with a fish fry on Friday.
- Marksmanship – This area includes archery, riflery, slingshots and atlatls. Everything begins with a firm foundation of safety practices and then grows to advanced techniques and competitive marksmanship. Hit a bullseye, knock over the can, and score points while learning self-discipline and self-control.
- Survival Skills – This area focuses on living with the forces of nature to survive and thrive in the great outdoors. Campers learn skills in fire building, shelter making, fishing, and other bush craft skills. Muddy shoes, dirty hands, and big smiles are to be expected. Â
- Watercraft – In watercraft, campers will learn advanced skills in canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboards. They will practice proper techniques such as wet exits from kayaks and T-rescues in canoes. As boating experts, they will be able to help their fellow campers take to the water with ease and prepare for a future Unie canoe trip.
*Specialty Areas must be selected upon registration. Regardless of what Specialty Area is selected, campers will have many opportunities to try all of the activities at camp.
